Dirty Business. Ep. 0. A Lucky Strike
A downloadable interactive comic for Windows and Linux
"Dirty Business" is a visual novel series in an interactive comic format with high sexual content.
The events take place a few years after those shown in The Lost Smile, and shares with it some characters and settings, although it is not necessary to have played it to enjoy this series.
You assume the role of Velasco, an ex-cop expelled from the police who struggles as a private eye and whose only ambition is to spend what little money he has on prostitutes. In each chapter, there will be a case to investigate and more will be discovered about the characters' past. In this amoral world where everything is for sale, everyone hides a secret.
And secrets have a price.
On top of the mostly classic VN format (but in comic style), it has also some other game mechanics.
Use a map to go to different places to complete quests.
Solve puzzles and play minigames to obtain certain items.
Explore some locations with point&click mechanics.
Whores, junkies, detectives... There are a lot of women of all kinds who can help your investigations... and other matters. It's a dangerous and sleazy world, but it's the one you'll be living in.

If you like Philip Marlowe, or any other film noir then this is a good bet for you. It has everything that you really are not looking for, so you think, until you get to the end and want more! Controls for the mini games have no instructions but nothing that cannot be figured out. Looked at the developers other Vn and did not see any more along this gritty path, shame. Maybe they will be inspired.

Matalla interactive is synonymous with quality, their VNs are complete and you won't find any weird bugs or half-baked stuff.
Dirty Business is no exception, with a very comic style, a Noir air and a lot of mystery and eroticism, Dirty Business begins with an introduction or pilot chapter, but don't let this fool you, the VN is complete and you can enjoy it peacefully.
